Lyve™ is an edge-to-cloud mass storage platform from Seagate®—built for the distributed enterprise to capture the unstructured data explosion. In this OceanICT special edition TAKE 5 Ruti Arazi, Go To Market and Partnerships, Lyve Services | Edge to Cloud Services, Seagate Technology, joins ON&T to offer more insight into Seagate’s Lyve services.

What role does your company play in marine and ocean information and communication technology (ICT) space?

Seagate’s Lyve Services offer a simple, efficient, secure way for geoscience and energy production companies to collect, store, move, interpret, and analyze data. Whether it’s with seismic, oceanographic, or meteorological data, Seagate enables access to data for faster analysis, reducing bottlenecks, all while keeping data safe and secure.

How do you see breakthroughs in ICT capabilities shaping the evolution of the ocean industry?

Seagate’s Lyve subscription-based service model helps capture Petabytes of data anywhere, through secure and fast channels, while keeping costs optimized for predictable budgets. It also simplifies all logistics and inventory management. The service is also cloud agnostic.

Are there any recent or upcoming launches/projects/milestones/announcements you want to share with us?

Lyve services, including Lyve Mobile and Lyve Cloud, are all under the Seagate umbrella. That means that the products are constantly evolving to keep up with the needs and requirements of the geoscience and energy businesses. Lyve Services' subscription-based model keeps costs optimized, budgets predictable, and simplifies all logistics and inventory management.

What are you looking forward to most about Oceanology International 2024?

It’s always nice to meet our partners from this ecosystem in person and meet new ones. We are also here to discuss the industry data challenges and how Seagate can work with ecosystem partners to solve them. And this year is even more exciting as we’ve partnered with ET Works, our technology partner. We are delighted to work with them and bring together the innovation in edge storage with our Lyve portfolio to the Energy marketplace. So, I’m personally looking forward to connecting with them in person.

The future of ocean-based ICT hinges on…

The ability to improve data transfer and time to data, and we’re looking forward to being an integral part and a game changer in the exciting future of ocean research.

Seagate will be exhibiting in the Oceanology International 2024 Ocean ICT Pavilion—powered by ON&T Magazine. You can find them at the Ocean ICT pavilion in S201 on the Oceanology floor to chat more about the ICT solutions for the ocean industry.
