BIO-UV Group announces that a BIO-SEA Ballast Water Treatment System (BWTS) designed for the Unites States Navy (USN) completed Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) at the production facility in France. BIO-UV Group now has approval to ship the system to a USN facility for operational testing.

Three Crowley-managed tankers have been selected by the U.S. Maritime Administration (MARAD) to serve in its Tanker Security Program. The program ensures a commercial fleet can readily transport liquid fuel supplies in times of need for the U.S. Department of Defense.

Orbit Communications Systems Ltd., a leading global provider of maritime and airborne SATCOM terminals, tracking ground station solutions, and mission-critical airborne audio management systems, has announced the receipt of a new order from a leading navy in Asia for OceanTRx4 satellite communication systems, the upgrade of OceanTRx7 systems, and on-board spare (OBS) and servicing for marine platforms. The total value of the order is approximately $13.6 million.
