WavEC Seminar 2016 and B2B meetings – 26th and 27th of October 2016, Lisbon, Portugal

WavEC Offshore Renewables gathers this year with the Embassy of Finland in Lisbon, Machine Technology Center Turku, Tekes - the Finnish Funding Agency for Innovation and the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment of Finland in the organization of its Annual Seminar. The event will take place on the 26th of October in Lisbon, Portugal and is supported under the high patronage of His Excellency, the President of the Republic of Portugal and counts with the presence of the Minister of Seas of Portugal.

This year we will focus on the following issues:

  • Synergies between Marine Renewable Energies (MRE) and other economic maritime activities, such as aquaculture and supporting technologies (vessels, submarine robotics, modeling and others) and sustainable use of resources.
  • Examples of pilot MRE projects: experience from Finland and Portugal.
  • Collaboration between Portugal and Finland in MRE and other activities at sea. Projects of the Portuguese government and review of national legislation.
  • Round table about the future of energy in the world, Finland and Portugal and the role to play by Renewables, particularly MRE.

B2B meetings – 27 October 2016, Residence of the Ambassador of Finland in Lisbon

A B2B networking event will be held during the morning of the 17th of October with the support of the Portuguese National Innovation Agency and the Enterprise Europe Network. This will be an opportunity to promote business partnerships between Portuguese and French companies.
