Ashtead Technology Appoints Tim Sheehan as Commercial Director

Leading international subsea equipment solutions specialist Ashtead Technology has strengthened its management team with the appointment of Tim Sheehan(photo) as commercial director.

The appointment, which is a new position, comes as part of the company’s strategy to expand its global service offering which includes rental equipment, calibration, repair and maintenance, offshore personnel and bespoke engineered solutions.

Chief executive Allan Pirie said: “We experienced strong growth throughout 2012 and anticipate a busy period ahead. To ensure that we continue to meet the demands and expectations of our customers, we continue to expand our service offering. Tim is hugely experienced and will bring the knowledge and drive that will keep Ashtead Technology at the forefront of our sector.”

With over 30 years subsea industry experience, Mr Sheehan takes up his new role following two years as executive vice president commercial at Reef Subsea, having also previously held senior management positions with Technip, Bibby, Acergy and Rotech.

Commenting on his new appointment, Mr Sheehan said: “Ashtead Technology is renowned for its subsea equipment capabilities and reputation for excellent customer service.  Following recent significant investment in facilities and the latest technology, I am joining the team at an exciting time.
