BOEM Announces Recent Environmental Study Completions for First Quarter FY 2014

The Environmental Studies Program (ESP) announces the  availability of final results of studies posted to the website between October 1 and December 31, 2013.  The list includes the titles with a web link to each report. 

Topics covered in the latest postings include:  

   evaluation of NASA’s algorithms used to interpret remote sensing data for water quality along the Louisiana/Mississippi Outer Continental Shelf (OCS);

   studies related to migratory birds and long-tailed ducks on the Atlantic OCS; and   

   research concerning fishes and kelp associated with Pacific OCS oil and gas platforms. 

BOEM’s ESP develops, conducts and oversees world-class scientific research specifically to inform decisions regarding development of the Outer Continental Shelf.

The Environmental Studies Program Information System (ESPIS) makes all completed ESP reports available on-line as full electronic pdf documents, including images and graphics. Technical summaries of over 1,200 BOEM-sponsored environmental research projects, as well as full pdf documents of over 3,400 research reports, are available for online full text search.
