Ocean Infinity, a world leader in robotic and uncrewed vessel technology, has announced its attendance and key speaker slot at Oceanology International (Oi) at London’s ExCel between March 12–14, 2024.

The biennial event brings together key players in the ocean technology industry, providing a platform for businesses, academics, and government representatives to connect, share insights, and explore the latest innovations shaping the future of the maritime sector.

David Donaghy, Technical Manager in Geotechnics will take to the stage at the ExCel to share Ocean Infinity’s vision of a future where it sees remote and lean-crewed operations surpass conventional crewed operations, ensuring safer and more environmentally responsible practices.

Ocean Infinity Commercial Director, Maxime Even explained: “As the ocean industry experiences unprecedented growth and diversification, Ocean Infinity stands at the forefront of technological advancements that are transforming operations at sea. We’re looking forward to showcasing our growing and extensive capabilities and contributions to the evolving landscape of ocean technology.”

Highlights of the company's technological offerings that are due to be presented at Oceanology International will include:

Underwater Robotics: Boasting the largest fleet of deep-water autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs) globally, Ocean Infinity is a pioneer in leveraging robotic technology for a variety of maritime applications.

Operation Centers: A network of globally located Operation Centers, staffed by mariners and data acquisition specialists, facilitating data processing, interpretation, and reporting, alongside the control and supervision of robotic ships and payload systems.

Fleet Management: A real-time, digital environment integrates platform control systems, navigation, and data, providing a comprehensive view of remote operations at sea.

Robotic Ships: Ocean Infinity’s Armada fleet, consisting of lean-crewed and uncrewed ships, custom-built for various offshore tasks, including offshore energy, logistics, defense, and science.

Alternative Fuels: In line with global efforts to reduce carbon emissions, Ocean Infinity is developing a zero-emission marine propulsion system for its larger Armada ships, contributing to cleaner and more sustainable maritime operations. Addressing the urgent need for emissions reduction in the shipping industry, Ocean Infinity hopes to propel the use of green fuel within the maritime industry.

Smaller Uncrewed Vessels: Ocean Infinity has a unique offering to the market in the shape of its fleet of smaller uncrewed surface vehicles (USVs), capable of standalone operation or as force multipliers from larger vessels.

Maxime Even concluded: “While we are delighted to be presenting our manifold technological innovations at Oceanology International, Ocean Infinity's mission is broader than such innovation; the company aims to play a pivotal role in protecting the planet by transforming maritime operations and enabling lower-emission practices within the offshore industry.”
