“Having the MSEIS Night Hawk III Pam systems in a centralized location allows for a faster mobilization of the PAM equipment to US project sites and cuts down on shipping costs,” said Brittiny Bennett, the Protected Species Program Manager at MVI. “We have a team of professional PAM operators who service and test the equipment, in addition to being trained, certified and knowledgeable in the installation, calibration, operation and maintenance of the PAM equipment,” she added. Inquiries for the provision of MSEIS PAM equipment to support upcoming projects should be directed to Bennett at [email protected].
Current legislation requires implementation of specific protective species monitoring and mitigative measures to minimize impacts to marine mammals and sea turtles, as well as other species. MVI offers protected species monitoring during geotechnical investigations, geological and geophysical (G&G) surveys, seismic exploration and various marine construction projects for offshore wind, oil & gas operations, coastal dredging and beach nourishment projects.
