The MATE ROV Competition World Championship is making waves in 2025 at Thunder Bay Marine Sanctuary in Alpena, Michigan—where innovation meets the depths of adventure!

Thunder Bay National Marine Sanctuary protects a nationally significant collection of nearly 100 historic shipwrecks in Lake Huron off the Michigan coast. Through research, education, and community involvement, the sanctuary works to ensure generations can enjoy these underwater treasures.

To meet the UK’s 2030 clean energy targets, substantial increases in both onshore and offshore wind capacities are necessary. The UK is currently the largest market for offshore wind in Europe, with 14 GW of installed capacity. The National Energy System Operator (NESO) indicates that an additional 28–35 GW of offshore wind will be required to reach a total of 43–50 GW by 2030.

Similarly, onshore wind capacity needs to double to 27 GW within the same timeframe.
