The Underwater Minerals Conference (UMC) is an annual international forum, with representatives from over 25 countries that since 1970 has brought the marine minerals community together. UMC is the world’s largest gathering of ocean mineral stakeholders, including government, academic, and commercial sector 

professionals. Topics considered for the conference include:

• Geological and biological studies of marine minerals deposits and their associated biological communities.

• Regulatory considerations related to mineral resource and environmental impact assessment.

• Technological considerations related to scientific survey objectives and commercial recovery objectives.

• General policy considerations related to the long-term development of these resources.

• Other relevant topics.

METF26 will look at the decarbonisation ‘learning curve’ to date and discuss what is going well and where industry and policymakers could do better. Industry experts will also discuss how multi-stakeholder collaboration on projects is working in practice, with reference to cross-border pilot initiatives and green shipping corridors, and consider whether the decarbonisation roadmap needs some readjustment or refinement in order to keep on track with GHG reduction timelines.

The Offshore Energy Exhibition & Conference 2026 will take place on 24–25 November 2026 at RAI Amsterdam, bringing together global leaders from the offshore energy and maritime sectors for two days of networking, innovation, and industry insight.

Recognised as one of Europe’s leading offshore energy events, OEEC 2026 will feature exhibitors, policymakers, project developers, engineers, and technology providers across offshore wind, oil & gas, hydrogen, CCS, maritime innovation, and sustainable energy solutions. Strengthening Critical Underwater Infrastructure Security Through Resilience, Innovation & Autonomous Defence

Undersea cables carry the bulk of the world’s data, and subsea pipelines and power links are central to regional energy security. As geopolitical competition intensifies, protecting this infrastructure has become a defence priority across the Asia-Pacific. Now in its second edition, Subsea Security & Defence 2027 takes place on 25–26 February at Amara Sanctuary Sentosa, Singapore. The event brings together naval commanders, defence attachés, policymakers, infrastructure owners and technology providers to share practical strategies for protecting the seabed. Day one is a main conference of presentations and panel discussions. Day two is an executive masterclass that places delegates inside a realistic subsea security crisis scenario, from early anomaly detection and gray-zone interference to repair mobilisation. Singapore is a fitting host. It is one of Asia’s major landing points for international submarine telecommunication cables, with plans to double its cable landings and expand offshore wind energy.
