DBV Technology systems can be used on any uncrewed vehicles, whether designed for Surface, Very Shallow Water, or Full Ocean Depth Variations.
ACOUSTICS SYSYTEMS
The company’s acoustic systems employ AADCAPS™ (Advanced Acoustic Digital Communication And Position Signaling) to create a programmable and highly configurable system to support virtually any requirement.
AADCAPS was developed to deliver capability that fills the gaps present in traditional Navigation/Positioning and C3. One example is the ability to provide high accuracy, high rate Navigation/Positioning and C3 for AUV swarms in the deep ocean operating in close proximity to the seabed.
DBV Technology develops a range of underwater positioning systems that provide navigation and positioning data for underwater vehicles and stationary instruments. These solutions are flexible in operations by providing a combination of easily deployable surface buoys as well as integration into manned and unmanned surface platforms.
The company is vertically integrated to produce acoustic systems encompassing all aspects of design, build, test, deployment and operational use. The company can also provide data as a service options utilizing their in-house acoustic transducers, electronics, housings, firmware and software. As such, our systems can be stand alone or integrated into customer UxVs.
AN UNMANNED PARTNER
In addition to our own systems, DBV Technology has served as a trusted partner and resource to other UxV manufacturers and operators converting their prototype breadboards into manufacturable Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBAs). Additional engineering support has included as well as other custom payload modules. We have produced over 100 different PCBA designs for our own use as well as that of others and are experts at design in the limited SWaP-C environment imposed by UxVs and underwater applications.

DBV Technology has vast expertise in systems and components (transducers and arrays, transponders, transceivers, recorders, etc.), specific instruments (DOSAR, SWAR, TDOG, CDOG, PUG, and SPG), and application areas (underwater GPS, recorders for passive acoustic monitoring, traditional and inverted LBL, USBL, seafloor geodesy, etc.).
