The US TEAMER (Testing Expertise and Access for Marine Energy Research) program has announced the addition of its newest Open Water Testing Facility, Bourne Tidal Test Site, operated by Marine Renewable Energy Collaborative of New England.

Located in the Cape Cod Canal with waters seven meters deep, the soon to be grid-connected testing platform is fully permitted and will allow for open-water testing of prototype tidal devices of up to three meters, for efficiency, durability, energy generation potential, and potential environmental effects. As a bonus, power generated during these tests can be sent straight to the grid through nearby substations.

Typically, open water testing is one of the last stages of device testing before full scale deployment. If your marine energy device is ready for open water testing, learn more or contact Bourne Tidal Test Site through its TEAMER facility page: https://lnkd.in/g8DhMStg
