AEGIR-Marine expanded its global network to include a Greek office in March 2024. Since then, the Greek team has grown to nine people, representing a fully self-supporting office. “This means we can offer our clients the full package of care: from sales to technical service support for stern tube seal and propulsion systems,” said AEGIR-Marine Hellas Branch Manager Maria Stathopoulou. “And we are pleased to say that this includes a service engineer permanently based here in Athens, a city that has always been a vital Maritime hub of activity. This is still true today, and we aim to continue AEGIR-Marine’s high level of service to Greek and Mediterranean ship owners and management companies for long into the future.”
To celebrate moving into their new office, the AEGIR-Marine Hellas team held a party with a walking dinner, cocktail bar, and live music. In this current era of instant emails, it is rather special to note that the invitations to the party were delivered by hand. AEGIR-Marine co-founder Ruud Muis opened the party, giving guests a gift of a baby olive tree to symbolize the company’s ambition to prosper together with its network of Greek clients.
“We are astounded by the response from our invited guests—almost 200 came for what is an amazing evening of celebration,” said Maria during the party. “We feel honored to be celebrating this milestone with so many people. AEGIR-Marine Hellas is now well and truly on the map: operating at full steam ahead in new offices with a complete team.”
