The program kicks-off with workshops and tutorials then moves on to the core technical program over several days. A highlight of the conference will be the plenary speakers which will feature: Dr. Marcia McNutt, first woman leader of the National Academy of Sciences; Dr. James Bellingham, founding Director of the Center for Marine Robotics; John White, President and CEO of the Consortium for Ocean Leadership; and Dr. Thomas Curtin, Senior Fellow at the Institute for Adaptive Systems. In addition, there will be special sessions that will be hosted by five group throughout the week.

During the week, the conference will feature an exhibition with companies, from all around the world, that will display the latest in ocean technology. The exhibition hall is open and free to those that register online or in-person at the event. Also, some of the exhibitors will host in-water demos. Demonstrations will be held at the Monterey Peninsula Yacht Club, a short walk from the conference. At the conference, attendees will be able to consult the “OCEANS APP” to find session locations and exhibitor’s booth numbers.
