Furuno is excited to introduce the NavPilot 1000, a Heading Control System (HCS) designed for larger vessels up to 100 meters, about 300 feet LOA. The NavPilot 1000 is type approved for high-speed craft and is the ideal Autopilot for both IMO and non-IMO installations. With its ability to connect to both analog and solenoid steering systems, the NavPilot 1000 is a perfect steering solution for commercial vessels and luxury yachts alike.

The NavPilot 1000 comes with an easy-to-read display and control unit that provides critical navigation data on a clear 5.7-inch color LCD. A robust rotary knob ensures the Autopilot is comfortable to use even in rough conditions, providing a “one-click/one-action” response. With four independent NMEA0183 ports, the NavPilot 1000 meets the EC61162-450 standard for interfacing and integration and is ideally suited for connection with ECDIS for both NAV mode and conning. NavPilot 1000 can be connected to the NavNet TZtouch series of Multi Function Displays (MFDs) via NMEA2000 and can be activated and operated from any MFD in the network.

The NavPilot 1000 features a smooth TURN mode, ensuring confident maneuvers with an advanced steering algorithm specifically designed for larger vessels. The Auto Tuning feature automatically adjusts rudder gain, counter rudder, and rate of turn to match vessel characteristics. The system can also store up to six “Work Profiles” with distinct, custom parameters assigned for varying conditions or locations. “Work Profiles” allow for operator-assigned settings for vessels with multiple operators that have different steering preferences.
