Nortek Brazil has established a new partnership with OGEQUIP Produtos e Serviços Marítimos Ltda, which will now operate as an authorized local service provider for Nortek ADCPs, current meters, and DVLs in Brazil.

The partnership reinforces Nortek’s commitment to delivering operational safety, agility, and qualified technical support, particularly for demanding applications in oceanography and offshore subsea operations.

As part of its ongoing strategy to strengthen market proximity and enhance local support, Nortek Brazil has been expanding and consolidating local technical capabilities to better serve users of its sensors in coastal and offshore operations.

Located in Macaé (RJ), the main operational hub of Brazil’s offshore industry, OGEQUIP offers infrastructure dedicated to sensors and electronic systems, with a specific focus on the subsea environment. Its facilities will soon include a hyperbaric chamber capable of testing equipment up to 3,000 meters, enabling diagnostics, verification, and testing under near-real operating conditions.

OGEQUIP is recognized in the market for its expertise in sensors, electronics, and subsea systems. Since its foundation, the company has been structured to meet the technical demands of the offshore industry, with strong performance in support, maintenance, and integration of subsea equipment.

With this partnership, Nortek sensor users in Brazil will benefit from an authorized local structure to address needs such as:

  • Basic operational fault assessment
  • Technical diagnostics
  • Support for calibration processes
  • Functional inspections and verification

Commercial discussions, remote technical support, application specifications, and customer relationship management will continue to be handled directly by Nortek Brazil, while local technical services on equipment will be supported by OGEQUIP.

According to Nortek Brazil, the initiative aims to further strengthen the company’s established reputation for responsive service and support, combined with robust and highly reliable sensors. The primary mission is to reduce operational risks, shorten response times, and increase user confidence, especially in critical operations where data and sensor reliability are fundamental to decision-making and operational safety.

Nortek will continue to closely monitor the results of this partnership, reinforcing its strategy of developing local capabilities and strengthening the technical ecosystem that supports its operations in Brazil.
