Optech Providing a Preview of New Technology at OCEANS’14 in St. John’s, Canada

September 8, 2014 — Optech is pleased to announce that visitors to the OCEANS’14 MTS/IEEE conference St. John’s, Newfoundland, Canada will get a sneak preview of upcoming enhancements to Optech’s product line. Staff will also be on-hand to provide details on how Optech sensors are achieving amazing results and increasing our understanding of the near-shore environment.

Besides new sensor systems, Optech will also be sharing exciting information oJ:\Press Releases\Corporate and Joint\2014\OCEANS14 NFLDn the new Project Program for Optech CZMIL, the world’s most field-validated airborne bathymetry and water column characterization system. Although CZMIL is already in use with several large government agencies, it has been out of reach for smaller organizations that could use its seamless topo/bathy mapping, unparalleled turbid water penetration, 80 m clear-water maximum depth, and collection of complex environmental data. Optech is getting ready to revolutionize the industry by making CZMIL and its comprehensive HydroFusion software workflow more widely available, and visitors to the Optech booth can learn how to take advantage of this opportunity.

Visitors will also get a preview of an exciting new addition to Optech’s marine and topographic mapping product line. Our world-class team of scientists and engineers has been breaking new ground on lidar technology, and their latest work will push the boundaries of what people expect lidar systems can do. Optech will officially reveal these changes at INTERGEO in October, though OCEANS’14 attendees will get a sneak peek at the innovations Optech is bringing to the market.
