Allseas has secured a major pipeline installation contract for the latest expansion of the deepwater Malampaya gas field, located 65 kilometers northwest of Palawan, the Philippines.

Awarded by Prime Energy Resources on behalf of the Malampaya Consortium, the deal covers the installation of key pipeline and umbilical infrastructure that will connect two new wells to the shallow-water Malampaya platform via an existing manifold.

Allseas will install multiple CRA pipelines and umbilicals, power cables, and structures, including PLETs, jumpers, and flying leads, in water depths ranging from 40 meters at the Malampaya platform to 1,100 meters along the deepest infield umbilical routes.

Prime Energy is pushing ahead with the fourth development phase of the Malampaya deep water gas-to-power project, extending the life of the gas field in accordance with the 15-year license extension granted by the national government to the consortium in May last year.

By increasing output in the field, Prime Energy expects to boost the domestic gas supply and ensure consumers in the region benefit from stable and reliable energy.

The work will be executed in time for the first gas in 2026.

Allseas installed more than 500 kilometers of export line for the original Malampaya field development in 2000.
