Solstad Offshore ASA (Solstad) has announced that the Normand Navigator arrived at Husøy, Karmøy, for the mobilization of ROVs from Omega Subsea Robotics.

Omega Subsea Robotics, a joint venture between Solstad and Omega Subsea, currently has eight ROVs in their fleet, which are onboard Normand Frontier, Normand Sentinel, Normand Maximus, and Normand Navigator.

Last Thursday, Solstad’s supplier Kystdesign completed the Factory Acceptance Test (FAT), with Omega Subsea and Solstad services. The mobilization onboard has already started and is expected to be complete by the end of June.

Normand Navigator’s new project will start shortly after the completion of the mobilization, and includes survey services in addition to ROVs.
