As the ROV navigates through the asset, VSLAM performs visual tracking and dense point cloud generation, allowing operators to monitor image quality, overlap, and coverage in real time.
While full photogrammetric models are still generated through post-processing workflows, the dense point cloud produced by VSLAM serves a critical operational role. This optical clarity directly benefits feature tracking algorithms used in photogrammetry and VSLAM. By increasing the number and consistency of features across the image frame—especially in the periphery—Deep Vision Optics strengthens tracking reliability, improves model accuracy, and significantly reduces manual intervention during processing.
