Privilège Marine, the French shipyard renowned for building some of the world’s most capable offshore cruising catamarans, has named SEA.AI as standard equipment across its entire model range. Privilège Marine is the first multihull shipyard to add AI-assisted situational awareness and collision prevention as a core safety feature of every yacht it builds.

For more than 40 years, Privilège Marine has crafted catamarans engineered for confident ocean passages, yachts valued by long-distance sailors, families, and liveaboard cruisers who prioritize safety and comfort above all.

“SEA.AI naturally strengthens Privilège Marine’s long-standing philosophy: creating yachts that combine ocean-proven robustness, absolute safety, and bespoke comfort for long-range cruising,” said Antoine Maillot, CEO of Privilège Marine. “SEA.AI adds an intelligent layer of vigilance by continuously scanning the environment, detecting risks early, and supporting the crew in every situation. It reinforces our promise: enabling owners to travel far, safely, and with peace of mind.”

SEA.AI’s advanced optical and thermal vision systems use artificial intelligence to detect, identify and alert skippers to objects around the vessel, including those that radar and AIS may miss.

  • By combining high-resolution cameras with maritime-trained Algorithms, SEA.AI provides:
  • Continuous vigilance and improved security onboard
  • Detection of unidentified floating objects, debris, containers, or small craft
  • Whale strike prevention
  • Nighttime and low-visibility awareness (fog, glare, rain)
  • Visual and audible alerts for high-risk detections or people in the water (MOB)
  • Lookout assistance, especially during short-handed sailing
  • Bird’s eye view from the top of the mast helping to choose a safe anchoring spot
  • Safer maneuvering and arrival in marinas especially at night
