AnTech, the market leading designer and manufacturer of products for the upstream oil and gas industry, has been honoured with the highest accolade a UK-based business can receive – The Queen’s Award for Enterprise for International Trade.

Exeter-headquartered AnTech, which operates overseas facilities in Texas and Saudi Arabia, is one of just 205 UK organisations to be recognised with the prestigious award, based on its outstanding overseas growth within a three-year period.

Established in 1992 and currently employing 49 staff across its entities, AnTech designs, manufactures and tests all products in-house, spanning all areas of mechanical, electrical and software design engineering. Rated to the highest industry standards, AnTech products and services are used worldwide by the top three oil and gas service providers, as well as blue-chip operators within the industry.

“We are extremely proud to have secured such prestigious recognition. This reflects our collective achievement as a team and our growing global presence, as we continue to operate at the forefront of innovation in oilfield technology,” comments Carly Sugden, Finance Director for AnTech.

Commenting on the importance of international trade to the company, Carly adds:

“As a UK business operating in a highly specialised global industry, exporting is crucial to our success. Our overseas customers’ requirements are fundamental in helping us improve and foster new product development offerings, as new markets bring additional technical or commercial challenges.

“Equally important, our global customer base brings with it a resilience against oil price volatility and the effects of regional recessions. Our thanks go to our clients for giving us the opportunity to diversify and grow internationally.”
