BMT Consolidates GSA Contracts under New PSS Schedule

BMT Designers & Planners, Inc. (BMT), a subsidiary of BMT Group, has received a Consolidated Professional Services Schedule (PSS) award from the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA). BMT is among the first group of companies to be granted this award, enabling Federal customers’ access to the firm’s complete range of services through a single contract, offering a more simplified acquisition vehicle and reducing complexity when requirements cross Special Item Number (SIN) boundaries.

Development of the schedule has been in the works for a year, and has been designed to streamline purchasing between GSA, its customer agencies, and vendors like BMT. Previously, BMT maintained three separate contracts under the Environmental Services (ES), Mission Oriented Business Integrated Services (MOBIS), and Professional Engineering Services (PES) schedules. As of October 1, Federal customers are able to purchase professional services in all of these categories under the new Schedule.

Agencies such as the US Department of Agriculture (USDA), National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), US Coast Guard, and US Navy have used the GSA Schedule to purchase environmental engineering, naval architecture, and logistics support services from BMT.

“Consolidating our Schedule offerings is a key step in enabling our Federal customers to reach us in a much easier, more streamlined fashion,” said Rick Cox, VP of Business Development. “Having a single contract simplifies communications and makes us more effective in managing tasks across our many business lines.”

Federal customers and other eligible state and local governments are able to utilize the GSA Schedule for simplified acquisition procedures and BMT’s most competitive rates. Details of BMT’s service offerings under the GSA Schedule can be found at www.dandp.com/gsa.
