Peritus Performs Inter-Array Cable Stability Design for Van Oord

Subsea engineering services provider Peritus International have been awarded a study on inter-array cable stability for RWE’s Sofia Offshore Wind Farm, located on Dogger Bank in the center of the North Sea.

PeritusContracted by Van Oord, Peritus scope consists of calculating the on-bottom stability for the inter array cables in challenging environmental conditions and shallow water. The detailed analysis work aims to increase the duration that the cables can be left on the seabed prior to trenching.

Peritus were chosen for this work due to their expertise in subsea cable stability which has been developed by involvement in joint industry projects and the new BSI 10009 standard which is due to be released shortly.
