Mid-August, Jan De Nul’s jack-up installation vessel Vole au vent installed the 31st wind turbine for the EMYN offshore wind farm Îles d’Yeu et de Noirmoutier in France.

This marks the halfway point of the wind farm installation.

Key Milestone for France

The EMYN wind farm is an important milestone in France’s transition to renewable energy. Once operational, it will generate enough renewable electricity to power approximately 800,000 people per year.

The wind farm will consist of a total of 61 Siemens Gamesa turbines of 8 MW each, located off the coast of the islands of Yeu and Noirmoutier. Vole au vent is handling the entire installation together with SGRE. The installation of the final turbine is scheduled for September.
