The museum’s new vessel, Must, is now equipped with state-of-the-art sensors and multibeam echosounders and has already been in action at Kvitsøy.

As a local company with headquarters on Karmøy and daily work in the subsea and energy industry, it is especially meaningful for RTS to contribute to research and the preservation of history in its own region.
RTS Workshop Technician, Raymond Myge, commented: “As someone from Karmøy, I grew up surrounded by history, not least from the Viking Age and medieval Avaldsnes. That makes it extra rewarding to see how modern technology can give archaeologists new insights into our past.”
