Energy and marine consultancy ABL has established a new office in Salvador, Brazil, to strengthen the company’s regional presence and asset integrity management offering in the country.

The Salvador office will support asset integrity management projects for the oil and gas industry, maritime industry and other land-based industries in both Brazil and the wider Americas region, with a vision to expand across ABL’s other maritime, offshore, engineering, and renewables service lines.

The new office will be headed by Mauricio Viana, ABL’s manager for asset integrity management in Brazil.

“This is an important step in strengthening ABL’s presence across the Americas and supporting projects already underway while building on the strong level of synergy we have across the region. A key advantage of being situated in Salvador is its proximity to major ports, shipyards, chemical, petrochemical, onshore oil & gas, and renewable energy sectors. For our ongoing AIM projects, our focus remains on helping clients navigate operations and maintenance strategies, life-extension studies, process safety, and technical training,” said Mauricio Viana.

The new office comes in addition to ABL’s well-established presence in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
