TGS, a global provider of energy data and intelligence, has announced it has been awarded a contract from the Petroleum Authority of Brunei Darussalam to undertake a multi-client 3D Seismic Survey in Brunei.

This award encompasses the provision of new 3D seismic acquisition, processing and marketing in Brunei under a multi-client model. This project enables TGS to seek pre-funding interest from the industry to deliver modern, high-quality 3D data to better understand reservoir potential, de-risk leads and support investment decisions ahead of future licensing rounds.

This project supports the Petroleum Authority’s broader objective of attracting international investment and catalyzing the further development of the oil and gas upstream sector in Brunei Darussalam, and complements TGS’ existing multi-client footprint across the Asia Pacific region.

David Hajovsky, Executive Vice President, Multi-Client at TGS, said: “We are pleased to collaborate with the Petroleum Authority of Brunei Darussalam on the development of new multi-client 3D seismic surveys in Brunei. This project will complement our existing multi-client footprint and provide the exploration community with a clear path to evaluate Brunei’s potential. This award reflects TGS’ continued commitment to supporting host governments and operators in opening access to underexplored areas across the Asia Pacific.”
