The apprenticeship program kicked off in Bergen in June, where apprentices Aron Lukas Sørnes and Amund Gangstø-Nordbø met mentors, colleagues, and representatives from the Training Office in Rogaland for an introduction to the company and the journey ahead.
Throughout the day, the apprentices were introduced to Omega Subsea’s operations, organization, and future ambitions.
Each apprentice has been assigned an experienced mentor who will support them throughout the apprenticeship. Håvard Loftheim Erdal and Steinar Magne Møgster will provide guidance, practical training, and follow-up as the apprentices develop their skills both onshore and offshore.
The apprenticeship program reflects Omega Subsea’s continued commitment to competence development. As the company expands its ROV operations and fleet, investing in the next generation of personnel is an important part of ensuring sustainable growth. The kick-off also aligns with Omega Subsea’s ambition to further strengthen its internal training programs and competence development in the years ahead.
The apprentices will now begin a structured training program combining practical experience, mentoring, and formal learning, preparing them for a career within one of the most technically demanding areas of the offshore industry.
