Metron Wins $2M Contract for Advanced Autonomy Algorithms for UUVs

The U.S. Navy is considering using autonomous unmanned underwater vehicles (UUV) for many missions currently being performed by manned platforms. In order to perform these missions, advanced autonomy algorithms must be created, integrated, and tested on these vehicles.

In support of this, the U.S. Navy has awarded Metron, Incorporated of Reston, VA a contract worth just over two million dollars for professional, scientific, and technical services.
