Taking place over two days, Engine as a Weapon XI seeks to explore where new technologies and techniques can be implemented to increase warfighting advantage. The conference will showcase research across a wide range of fields to address the sector’s evolving challenges.
The Princess Royal, through her various patronages and association with the Royal Navy, has a deep affinity for the marine world. This deep-rooted connection to the sector, alongside her longstanding dedication to the environment, makes her an ideal figurehead for the Institute.
Chris Goldsworthy, CEO at the IMarEST, said: “It’s a great honor that Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal will join us at Engine as a Weapon XI. The event will drive forward innovation in naval engineering, and I am sure Her Royal Highness’s presence will enrich the experience and productivity of our delegates.”
Engine as a Weapon takes place November 26–27, 2025, at the Village Hotel, Portsmouth, UK.
