The Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV) has signed a contract with BUVI Scandinavia AB to deliver EvoLogic's unmanned surface vehicle Sonobot 5 to the Swedish Armed Forces. The vehicle will primarily be used in the field work area to investigate waterways before floating bridge systems are established. The contract value is SEK 43 million including options.

The contract covers the complete system including support services and training. The systems will be primarily used by the army’s engineering corps, and the procurement has been carried out by FMV’s Army Materiel business area in collaboration with representatives from the Navy Materiel business area.

“With this system, detailed 3D images of the seabed can be created in a short time. This will lead to more efficient and faster decision-making and improved fieldwork capabilities within the Armed Forces,” said Gabriel Dalborg, Systems Engineer at FMV.

The systems will be delivered in the fall of 2026 and will then be tested and evaluated in both coastal and inland environments. The agreement also enables further orders for Evologics’ unmanned vehicles. BUVI Scandinavia, Evologics and FMV will work together to adapt and integrate the system to Swedish operational needs.
