L3Harris Technologies successfully demonstrated a new electronic warfare (EW) capability at the Defense and Security Equipment International event, highlighting how the technology can help UK and NATO forces meet the global need for joint, all-domain, collaborative operations.

L3Harris used its cloud-based Distributed Spectrum Collaboration and Operations (DiSCO™) architecture to combine communication radio frequency sensor data from a UK-produced Mobile Electronic Warfare Sensor with the company’s Spectrum Server to deliver a common operating picture of the Electromagnetic Spectrum (EMS).

“The DiSCO technology enables the warfighter to operationalize and weaponize EMS in ways previously unavailable,” said Ed Zoiss, President, Space and Airborne Systems, L3Harris. “The battlefield in Ukraine has clearly demonstrated the need for next generation EMS capabilities to enhance operational effectiveness and rapidly address evolving threats.”

The test milestone marks the first time DiSCO has incorporated communication and radar data into a near-real-time common operating picture and aggregated geographically separated data from a fielded sensor not built in the US.
