Announcing Floating Wind Solutions 2021

Floating Wind Solutions Conference & Exhibition 2021 will showcase the many capabilities of the established Global Offshore Supply Chain and create a platform for bridging Supply and Demand while facilitating development of this industry.

Floating Wind Solutions’ mission is to utilize this platform to bring together the many critical players within the Wind and Offshore industries enabling accelerated adoption of Floating Wind Energy globally. This premier event’s primary goal is to accelerate the Energy Transition, by focusing on the industrialization and commercialization of Floating Wind Energy. A world class Advisory Board is being assembled and will insure that the program will be extremely focused on the principles of this mission.

What’s the Premise?

The expected exceptional growth in the harvesting of Floating Wind Energy will be reliant upon the technology and experience of companies historically focused on the offshore supply chain. With few exceptions, these companies are the only ones who have ever designed, constructed or installed permanently moored structures of any kind.

In addition, there are strong indications that the traditional Major Offshore Energy Operators will be leading investors, developers and operators of Floating Wind Energy Projects. These majors have the capability, financial strength and long time experience in bringing long lead time, logistically complex developments to a success, in close cooperation with the established offshore supply chain and are expected to utilize the capabilities and experience of the same along a newly created Floating Wind Supply Chain.

Change of Attitude Towards Solutions

Floating Wind, from point of view of the early stakeholders and traditional supply chain, is in need of dramatic research & development into technology, such as dynamical power cables and moorings that are actually readily available from years of experience in the offshore construction industry. It is not denied that this technology might need adaption to specific technological demand, but here too the offshore supply chain has overcome challenges that used to be considered ‘insurmountable’. This is the same supply chain that took cost from $80bbl down to $35.
