Rotech Subsea Ltd. are attending Offshore Europe in Amsterdam this week amid a flurry of interest in their new RSG1 subsea cable grab tool. The tool, designed and manufactured by Rotech’s in-house R&D and engineering divisions, enables the subsea operator to offer a new service to its growing client list in the renewables sector.

Speaking about the RSG1 Rotech Director of Subsea, Stephen Cochrane, said, “We’ve been inundated with enquires about the new RSG1 cable grab tool, which allows us to add to our capabilities. As well as deburying cable we can now lift the cable for repair meaning we are a one-stop shop for clients.

“The RSG1 – which boasts real-time sonar monitoring with subsea camera and lights – can also be applied for Umbilical recovery, Pipeline recovery as well as rock removal and relocation. Being deployed with two skilled operators, it allows for 24-hour operation, bringing increased economies for clients.”

Rotech’s RSG1 can operate in depths from 0-200 metres with a grab diameter of 50-1100mm and grip force of 50kN.

Rotech will be at Offshore Europe this week in Hall 5, Stand 5.011 and will be running presentations of the new RSG1 tool.
