Greater PAJ, which spans Blocks 31 and 31/21, is Angola’s first integrated cross-block development. Under the agreement, SLB OneSubsea will deliver approximately 46 kilometers of dynamic and static umbilical, along with topside and subsea ancillaries, and offshore installation support across the Palas, Astraea, Juno, Urano, and South Dione fields.
The umbilical system will be manufactured across SLB OneSubsea’s Planetary and Oscilay production lines, an approach that optimizes delivery to meet Azule Energy’s requirements. The award builds on SLB OneSubsea’s history of umbilical deliveries to Azule Energy, including recent projects such as Agogo/Ndungu and Block 31 Phase 4—a track record that has positioned SLB OneSubsea as a trusted long-term partner in the region.
“Azule Energy’s confidence in SLB OneSubsea reflects years of collaboration and consistent delivery in Angola and across West Africa,” said Maria Peralta, Vice President, Umbilical & Cable Systems. “Our approach to umbilical manufacturing and delivery is designed to help operators unlock value from complex, multi-field developments like Greater PAJ, while our proven track record with Azule Energy provides the schedule certainty needed to accelerate production.”
