Under the MSA, which is valid for two years, ABL’s operations in Egypt can be called upon to provide marine assurance and risk services to support Maridive’s fleet operations. The services include industry standard audits, vessel and marine asset survey, inspections and audits, pre-purchase surveys, DP assurance and consulting, and critical systems consulting, including FMEA and FMECA.
“We have a long-stand relationship and collaboration with Maridive, providing marine assurance and DP services. This includes our successful collaboration over an industry innovation to improve performance and reduce risk in DP2 vessels during stern thruster changeover. This MSA is a reflection of that beneficial industry collaboration – supporting the optimum performance of offshore vessels for safe and successful operations in Egyptian energy,” said Captain Tamer Gamil, ABL’s Country Manager in Egypt.
Maridive manages a fleet in the Mediterranean Sea, Red Sea, North and West Africa, and Asia-Pacific. Its fleet includes offshore support vessels (OSVs), mooring boats, diving support vessels (DSVs), multi-purpose vessels (MPSVs), platform support vessels (PSVs), and anchor-handling tugs (AHTS).
“We are pleased to formalize our continued collaboration with ABL through this MSA. At Maridive & Oil Services, our priority is to maintain the highest standards of safety, operational efficiency, and reliability across our fleet. ABL’s proven expertise in marine assurance and DP services, along with our joint efforts in driving practical innovations, makes them a valued partner in supporting our operations. This agreement reinforces our commitment to delivering safe and high-performance offshore services to our clients,” said Muhammad Fouda, Operations Director at Maridive & Oil Services.
ABL has been operational in Egypt since 2018. It holds +90% of the market share for marine assurance and DP work in-country. In recent years, it has expanded to include a branch of its sister company, Longitude—the design and engineering house of ABL Group. Together, ABL and Longitude provide an integrated offshore and engineering offering to support clients across the energy and maritime industries.
ABL is part of the Oslo-listed global consultancy group ABL Group ASA.
