Powered by the existing Achilles JQS and FPAL services, the new network brings together 6,000 suppliers and 148 buyers across the UK, Europe and Nordics into one supply chain.
The network combines a new modern user interface with a revamped, dynamic joint search facility; a community-based dashboard with enhanced analytics for improved procurement based on 20 years of validated data held by Achilles. Building on existing FPAL and Achilles JQS community data, and through standardizing validation requirements on key activities, Oil and Gas Europe delivers a searchable network of qualified providers – increasing visibility for suppliers and supplier diversity for buyers.
Currently available to Achilles JQS and FPAL buyers with new prices being introduced for new users, and existing users at the point of renewal, the system will enhance procurement processes. The new Oil and Gas Europe will bring a wider supply chain view, reduced costs and a more level playing field for suppliers, creating the first step towards a global oil & gas supply chain management tool.
Kevin Alexander, Director of Procurement Solutions at Achilles, comments: “This exciting development creates a network powered by two tried and tested communities, Achilles JQS and FPAL, enabling access to 20 years of Achilles’ validated data – generating a powerful tool for procurement and compliance professionals in the oil and gas sector, both supplier and buyer. With the ability for users to provide in-depth feedback on suppliers and future plans to further enhance our rigorous data validation, the development of Oil & Gas Europe is a ground-breaking move for Achilles.”
