Leadership companies and industry organizations, and other ocean stakeholders, will come together again this year at the SOS 2018 in Hong Kong – a global maritime center for Asian ocean industries – for action on the critical industry challenges and opportunities in sustainable development and the Blue Economy.
With a focus on Asia and its relation to the global ocean economy, the SOS 2018 will assemble ocean industry CEOs to address the future of the ocean business, provide ocean economy projections, bring together women leaders in the maritime sector and Young Ocean Professionals, address port resiliency, sustainable fishing and aquaculture, energy from the ocean, marine biodiversity, and increasing ocean knowledge through industry data collection – and other topics critical to the U.N. Sustainable Development Goals.
In between the annual SOS event, the WOC is the global business organization working every day to bring together the full range of the diverse international ocean business community to catalyze private sector action on ocean sustainable development over the long term.
