Mrs. Friday brings extensive training and in-field experience to MVI, having worked on a wide range of nearshore marine construction projects, including over four years of fisheries management as a Fisheries Biologist for Alaskan Observers, Inc.
Friday’s expertise bridges several essential disciplines and practices associated with PSO/MMO management, from providing oversight, training, and guidance to other observers to client management and ensuring timely, high-quality data submissions. She has served as a lead observer on fishing vessels and been responsible for providing real-time fisheries management data to government agencies and industry personnel. She has also conducted extensive data review and drafted many compliance reports for government agencies.
“We are thrilled to welcome Courtney to the team at a time when MVI is strengthening our service offering to further support the fisheries industry and the growing number of marine construction projects in the United States,” said Brittiny Bennett, MVI’s Protected Species Program Manager. “Courtney brings the ideal balance of in-field leadership, operational knowledge of federal compliance, and data review management to have an immediate impact on MVI’s expansion plans in this area.”
Speaking of her appointment, Mrs. Friday commented: “I am delighted to join MVI at such an exciting chapter in the company’s growth and look forward to working with partners across a range of industries and government agencies with their PSO/MMO project requirements.”
MVI’s investment in hiring new employees is just one way the company is working hard to maintain a quality Protected Species Program. MVI is looking for additional, qualified PSOs/PAM Operators and Subject Matter Experts.
