Modutec, a leading provider of marine and offshore living quarters and technical buildings that safeguard people and equipment in demanding environments, has further expanded its capabilities by acquiring a majority shareholding in EOS Europe Ltd, a specialist provider of electrical services to the energy sector.

This partnership represents a key step in strengthening Modutec’s in-house turnkey offering, enabling the Group to support clients more effectively across the full project lifecycle.

Aberdeen-based EOS Europe has a strong track record in the energy and marine sectors, delivering critical projects for clients across the UK, USA, and Norway. Its specialist services include hazardous area inspections, technical auditing and inspections, project planning and management, construction and installation, testing and commissioning, and ongoing maintenance support, alongside international procurement and design review capabilities.

This acquisition further strengthens Modutec’s position as a fully integrated provider to the global energy and marine markets.

Speaking about the investment, Modutec Managing Director, Brian Knowles, said: “We are delighted to complete this deal, which brings together two highly complementary businesses and strengthens our capabilities across the energy and marine sectors. EOS’ established presence in Aberdeen adds valuable expertise to our group and marks an important step in expanding our in-house turnkey services. I look forward to working closely with George McLeod and his team.”

This partnership creates a strong platform for future growth, and I’m looking forward to working closely with the Modutec team as we continue to develop the business and support our clients.”
