With over two decades of experience across the oil and gas industry and based in Dubai, David is responsible for leading the MENA market and driving business growth. His appointment comes at a critical time as Motive expands its local operations and builds on the region’s growing demand for specialized rental equipment and support services for the oil and gas industry.
Backed by previous senior experience at TechnipFMC, Ferguson Group, and his most recent position as Regional Manager at OSSO, David’s combination of leadership, sector expertise, and commercial acumen makes him an ideal fit for the position. His appointment also follows the promotion of Graeme Chalmers from Middle East Regional Manager to an expanded role of Eastern Hemisphere Director at Motive, responsible for operations across MENA and APAC.
Graeme Chalmers, Eastern Hemisphere Director at Motive Offshore, said: “David brings invaluable expertise and regional insight that will be instrumental as we continue to build on our success in the Middle East. His leadership will help us deliver the high standards and innovative solutions Motive is known for, ensuring we meet the needs of an evolving market.”
David Mitchell, Regional Manager – Middle East, commented on his appointment: “Motive is perfectly poised for a significant growth trajectory in the Middle East. We have already established local partnerships with the likes of Emirates Specialized Contracting & Oilfield Services, which uniquely positions us to service growing infrastructure needs across the GCC.”
The appointment marks the next step in Motive’s continued commitment to the region. Its recent acquisition of Aquatic will allow the company to introduce additional products and services entering the MENA region. Further investment in its Middle East Rentals and Certification & Inspection divisions is set to increase throughout 2025 to support the expansion of regional activity over the coming years. This growth reinforces Motive’s dedication to delivering specialized, locally managed solutions.
