MTS ROV Committee Announces Annual Scholarship Recipients

MTS ROV Committee has announced the winners of its 2018 scholarships. Saul Hughes, Sriram Govindarajan, Khaled Saad, and Matt Glencross each received ROV scholarships. Saul Hughes received the MTS ROV MATE Center scholarship.

Saul Hughes was awarded $5,000 and attends Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada majoring in Computer Science. Sriram Govindarajan will receive $4,000 and is studying Civil Engineering at the National Institute of Technology in Tamil Nadu, India. Khaled Saad received $3,000 and is majoring in Mechatronics and Robotics at the University of Sheffield in the UK. Matt Glencross, a freshman engineering major at St. Mary’s University in Halifax, NS received $3,000.

Each recipient will be recognized during the Awards presentation at Underwater Intervention ’19 in New Orleans, LA.

Since 1994 the MTS ROV Committee has awarded over $500,000 to deserving students who have an interest in Remotely Operated Vehicles. Scholarship applications for 2019 must be submitted by April 15, 2019. Details on how to apply and further information can be found here.
