Furze is a retired US Navy captain with thirty years in the Navy meteorology and oceanography community. He served afloat and ashore, including command of the Joint Typhoon Warning Center and Commander, Undersea Surveillance. Since transition in 2009, Furze has worked with small and large businesses, including the role of Contract Program Manager at NOAA’s National Data Buoy Center while with CSC Applied Technologies.
