BOEM and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) have released the newest update to MarineCadastre.gov, with the migration of all content to a new user interface and data management backend based on Esri Hub Site technology.

Managed by BOEM and NOAA, MarineCadastre.gov is a public-facing portal that provides ocean data and tool accessibility. Data are shared in real-time with partners and provide critical information to stakeholders with an interest in the ocean space, including state and federal regulatory agencies, non-governmental organizations, and regional ocean partnerships. Its resources include tools such as OceanReports, the National Viewer, and AccessAIS, which provides custom access to the last six years of the Marine Cadastre’s Automatic Identification System (AIS) data. The website offers various additional resources such as how-to guides, technical support, environmental studies, and the capacity to tailor custom maps.

More About MarineCadastre.gov:

With more than 150 items in its catalog, MarineCadastre.gov is the premier source for authoritative and trusted ocean geospatial data. The initiative was established in 2007 by BOEM and NOAA in response to the growing need for spatial data and tools to support the potential development of offshore renewable energy resources. Fast forward to today, the MarineCadastre.gov team continues to work closely with national, regional, and industry partners to develop and provide direct access to the best-available data and tools to meet the needs of the ocean planning community.
