CSA Ocean Sciences Inc. (CSA), an international marine environmental consulting and survey company, today announced the expansion of its Infrastructure Department with the appointment of Dr. Greg Fulling to the position of Senior Project Scientist.

Based out of CSA’s US headquarters in Stuart, Florida, Dr. Fulling will support CSA’s scientific and operational activities on a range of multidisciplinary marine projects in the US and internationally, with a particular emphasis on compliance and monitoring for the offshore renewable energy market.

Dr. Fulling joins CSA from Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM)’s Office of Renewable Energy Programs where his responsibilities included working with private, state, and federal agencies to review and mitigate proposed actions with the required environmental compliance under the National Environment Policy Act (NEPA), Endangered Species Act (ESA), and Marine Mammal Protection Act (MMPA). Prior to working with BOEM, Dr. Fulling held a post at National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA)’s National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) Protected Species Branch performing ESA Section 7 consultations. His experience as a project manager, marine biologist, and endangered species subject matter expert spans the US Atlantic and Pacific coasts, the Gulf of Mexico, the Caribbean, and the Eastern and Western North Pacific, including Guam, Hawaii, and Alaska.

“We are delighted to welcome Dr. Fulling to CSA as we continue to expand our capacity to support coastal and offshore infrastructure marine survey projects both in the US and overseas,” said CSA President Gordon Stevens. “As a company, we believe that delivering best-in-class multidisciplinary marine environmental consultancy hinges on our continued commitment to providing our clients with both the leading technologies and world-class subject matter experts, and so look forward to having Dr. Fulling aboard for the next chapter of growth at CSA.”

Speaking on the announcement, Dr. Fulling said: “I am excited to join CSA at such an important chapter in the company’s expansion plans with the opportunity to engage in the development and execution of the growing number of marine surveys and environmental impact assessments needed for the successful buildout of coastal and offshore infrastructure projects in US and international waters.”
