A key part of this cooperative effort is an application to the Nordic Council of Ministers to secure funding for the project “Knowledge Centre for Responsible Sourcing of Deep-sea Minerals in the Arctic Region.”
The project aims to build up a joint knowledge base in the three countries as regards aspects associated with mineral activity on the seabed. The intention is to accomplish this through joint working meetings/discussions. Communication with various stakeholders and opinion-makers is an important part of this effort.
