At Oceanology International 2026 (Oi26), Teledyne Marine marked a major milestone with the official unveiling of its new SeaBat D-Series—revealed publicly for the first time at the show.

The launch headlines Teledyne RESON’s 50th anniversary celebrations and forms the center piece of a broader technology showcase that includes a new Integrated Dual Head multibeam configuration, autonomous platform integrations, and live on-water demonstrations.

NEW – SeaBat D100 | D-Series Debut

Officially revealed at Oi26, the SeaBat D100 is the first system in the new D-Series for deep-water applications. Designed for surface vessels operating in depths up to 3,000 meters, it delivers SeaBat-class data quality, resolution and reliability in a compact, deployment-ready configuration.

Developed specifically with Vessel of Opportunity (VoO) projects in mind, the system features a compact sonar head and topside processor optimized for pole mounting, temporary installations and rapid mobilization. The result is reduced integration time, multi-vessel flexibility, and high-performance deep-water mapping without permanent installation constraints.

NEW – SeaBat T51-S Integrated Dual Head & SeaBat T51-R Integrated Dual Head

The latest evolution of the proven T51 platform integrates dual sonar heads into a single processor. This configuration increases along-track density and swath coverage while reducing onboard hardware footprint, cabling complexity and installation cost, enabling more efficient, high-resolution survey operations.

NEW – Integrated Dual Head Demonstrations (Live On Water)

Visitors to Oi26 were invited to experience the SeaBat T51-R Integrated Dual Head in action aboard the Maplin, operating alongside Teledyne’s Compact Navigator for the first time ever. These demonstrations provide a real-world view of tightly integrated multibeam and navigation technologies working together to streamline workflows and enhance survey precision.

50 Years of RESON Innovation

Oi26 also marks Teledyne RESON’s 50th anniversary, celebrating a legacy of acoustic innovation that has shaped multibeam development from early sonar breakthroughs to today’s integrated, autonomous-ready systems.

“We’re proud to unveil the D-Series at Oi26, a major step forward in deep-water multibeam technology” said Pim Kuus, Senior Hydrographer and Product Manager of Instruments & Imaging at Teledyne Marine. “The SeaBat D100 is designed for rapid, flexible deployment, while our Integrated Dual Head and navigation solutions deliver higher efficiency and precision. Together, they showcase the next generation of capabilities in marine surveying.”
