This acquisition forms part of the LDA Group’s broader investment plan, aiming to double its fleet and accelerate growth in technological innovation, energy transition, and next-generation maritime services and navigation models.
With the TVO Mariner, LD TravOcean will better control project execution, from mobilization to delivery, while integrating its full range of subsea assets, including trenching machines, Rovjets and ROVs. The vessel will support all of the company’s activity segments, including telecom cables, offshore wind, cable repair, and multipurpose offshore operations.
Samira Draoua, CEO of LD Armateurs, stated: “This vessel acquisition fully reflects the LDA Group’s strategy to invest in integrated, high-value assets that reinforce our long-term growth while supporting the energy transition.”
“With the TVO Mariner, LD TravOcean is adopting a new business approach, allowing us to deliver complete and agile offshore solutions and strengthen our competitive position on complex projects,” added Olivier Le Nagard, Managing Director of LD TravOcean.
Built in 2011 with Norwegian design standards, the TVO Mariner is an 88.3-meter multipurpose support vessel with a payload capacity of approximately 2,500 tons, a 950 m² working deck, advanced dynamic positioning, and accommodation for up to 70 personnel. The vessel is well known to LD TravOcean teams, who previously operated on board during an offshore wind project in Germany.
Scheduled for delivery in Summer 2026, the TVO Mariner will sail under the French flag and be operated by an LDA crew. Ship management will be provided by LD Armateurs, while subsea operations will be carried out by LD TravOcean teams.
Thanks to this momentum, LD TravOcean and the LDA Group are entering a new chapter—with confidence, ambition, and a strengthened ability to serve its clients.
