More than 350 manufacturers and service providers are booked for the sold-out global technology and science exhibition, which is expected to attract record crowds from around the world.
The event, which runs from April 8–10 at the National Oceanography Centre in Southampton, is open to all visitors for free by registering online at www.oceanbusiness.com.
Also free to attend is the two-day conference, with presentations from a prestigious line-up of maritime and defense experts, plus the Society of Maritime Industries Business Person of the Year Award, and a deep dive focus on the Future of our Ocean, including talks on intelligent underwater acoustics, renewable energy surveys, and autonomous vehicles.
Stakeholders have described Ocean Business as a ‘not to be missed’ event on the international ocean technology calendar, offering invaluable access to ground-breaking industry developments.
This year, inside the expanded exhibition halls, visitors will be able to see transformational ocean technology, from autonomous vehicle underwater inspection and exploration to next-generation ROVs, advances in navigation systems, pioneering immersive 3D visualizations, and much more.
The hands-on Training and Demonstration program features over 180 hours of new technologies demonstrated in dockside waters, onboard vessels, and in the classroom, demonstrating everything from sustainable environmental monitoring to breakthroughs in robotics and lean crewed fleets.
Also on the dockside, hospitality suites, hosted by industry leaders such as General Oceans, Teledyne Marine, Canada, and Greensea IQ, offer a convivial environment to make new contacts, renew old acquaintances, or just unwind.
Sonardyne, meanwhile, is bringing its own demo trailer to show its state-of-the-art tech in action; and among other must-see outside exhibits are XOCEAN, which operates the world’s largest fleet of survey class USVs, and STR (Subsea Technology and Rentals), displaying its SeaTow 2000 advanced electric winch.
Throughout the three days, a packed schedule of networking and social events—from the ever-popular Wine Trail to the International B2B Matchmaking sessions—will ensure show-goers can catch up around the clock.
New this year is the Lego Maritime Project, an innovative simulation created by Stephen G Shaw to engage and enthuse young people across the maritime sector.
Following its successful launch in 2023, the world’s only conference dedicated to marine electromagnetics—MARELEC—will run alongside Ocean Business. Delegates will hear from eminent scientists, engineers and academics of progress made in the fields of geophysics, geotechnical engineering, oceanography and naval warfare.
Other business get-togethers include the Women in Marine Networking Lunch on Wednesday, April 9 (book your place here) and the National Oceanography Centre/Global Underwater Hub Brunch & Learn Session on Renewables, starting at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 10.
For students, Ocean Careers, which runs for three days, will offer advice on opportunities within the ocean technology, marine science, and offshore sectors.
Cheri Arvonio, Event Director and Show Organizer of Diversified Communications, said: “The Ocean Business team can’t wait to throw open the doors on what promises to be our biggest and best show yet.
“With an impressive showcase of the most up-to-the-minute technology in today’s ocean space, as well as insights into tomorrow’s scientific and engineering breakthroughs, Ocean Business 2025 is set to be a truly memorable event.
“We’re looking forward to welcoming exhibitors and visitors for three days of serious business, lively discussions, meetings with new faces, and reunions with Ocean Business regulars. See you all there!”
