Following the successful completion of a pilot trenching project in 2024, Deep C and DOF will begin the main deepwater trenching operation in Asia in Q2 2025.

The pilot phase tested Deep C’s ROV Trenching Skid in water depths exceeding 1,000 meters, confirming its ability to operate efficiently in challenging seabed conditions. With valuable experience from the trial, Deep C and DOF are now moving ahead with the final trenching scope, ensuring precise and efficient execution.

For subsea umbilicals and cables, Deep C’s trenching technology requires a significantly smaller operational spread than conventional methods while maintaining high efficiency and control. This minimizes environmental impact and increases operational flexibility throughout the project.

“Working with DOF on the pilot phase was a great success, and we are ready to move into the next stage,” said Odd Gustav Kvalvåg, CEO of Deep C. “We have the experience, technology, and expertise to deliver an efficient trenching solution for this deepwater project.”
