The contract covers external inspection of a large part of Gassco’s subsea pipeline portfolio and will be executed using Reach Remote 1, Reach Subsea’s uncrewed surface vessel (USV) solution, fully qualified in 2025, and the company’s high‑speed survey SROV capability operated from a conventionally crewed vessel where required.
Reach Subsea has additionally this week received the Cargo Ship Trading Certificate for Reach Remote 1 from the Norwegian Maritime Authority. Having previously operated under temporary permission, Reach Remote now holds full flagstate approval for commercial operations in European waters, marking a historic milestone for remotely operated vessels.
